US GLBT IMMIGRATION POLICY

This cartoon sadly portrays the USA stance on GLBT immigration policy. How sad to deny so many couples the chance to remain together in the US that they are forced to live elsewhere. Yes we must not be real citizens. If we were, we would be entitled to ALL the same rights and privileges.

GAY CONGRESSMAN HAS NO BACKBONE

I received this article from membership in another immigration group:

Hello all,
Below are two articles, from the NY Blade and the Washington Blade, regarding retiring gay Arizona Republican U.S. Representative Jim Kolbe'sunwillingness to help usher the Uniting American Families Act forward, despite the fact that he has a foreign partner here on a temporary workvisa.-Leslie

When you read the article, Jim Kolbe seems to think that adding the issues of binational couples to the immigration debate would add "baggage".

Wow now we are baggage!!

This is one of the reasons why the UAFA is having problems. This guy has no backbone! Go visit his website: "he is proudly representing Arizona".

How is this guy able to sleep at night knowing that he might be able to make a difference in struggling couple's lives and he does nothing? How does he live with himself as a gay man?
